The sundial on the facade is a landmark, as well as giving the name to the multi-story building erected in Baroque style in 1791, and on a clear day it showed the precise time to locals in Zsámbék.
Teaching was carried out in the educational institution until 1983. Joseph Gungl, the conductor and composer of Hungarian origin, attended school here. The building is a special relic of architecture in the era, it has been classified by the Monument Board as having townscape significance since 1983.
Starting from 1983 (handover of the new school) – in keeping with its name indicating the passage of time – a daycare home for the elderly and library has operated on the property.
