The settlement where the saddle makers of the Arpad-dynasty kings used to live has numerous pleasant surprises in store for visitors.
The cellar village in a romantic atmosphere, hidden in the density of the forest, is the largest and finest such relic in the region. We can find around 300 cellars here, constructed at the end of the 19th century.
Páty Reformed church was built in Zopf (“braid”) style. An interesting point about the sight of the Classicist Splényi–Várady Palace is that its fence was made from the barrels of rifles used in the War of Independence of 1848–49.
The former officer housing operates as a community center today.
