Water Tower

A defining industrial relic for the appearance of the settlement of Herceghalom is the water tower constructed in 1952.

The tower operated right up until the 80s when it was decommissioned. The 25-meter-high tower was made of raw kiln-baked bricks.

Interestingly the tower had a barely perceptible tilt due to the structure’s sinking foundations. This is precisely why any further use is only possible after a structural study and necessary reinforcements.
