The motorbike and car museum in the barn near the community center promises a special experience for anyone interested. The car antiquities and rare items maintained in excellent condition are testimony to the expertise and collecting passion of Sándor Tabányi.
– Every car is a work of art – says Sándor Tabányi. The son of world-renowned accordion artist Mihály Tabányi first came into close contact with cars at the age of 11. His first acquisition was a Velorex, followed by a FIAT 850, a Sport Coupe and then some factory Cabrios. The oldest exhibition item is a black, right-hand drive Škoda manufactured in 1938, which – like the red Mercedes Ponton from the 50s – has its own exciting story. Apart from the beautiful cars Mr. Tabányi is the happy owner of dozens of combat vehicles and trucks: these rare items are housed in different sheds, but vigilant observers may also come across them as the main characters in advertising films and music clips.
The exhibition opens in May each year during the Páty Spring and Cellar Days, but can also be viewed during the week after registering.
