Kútvölgy (Valley of the Wells)

The village is built around Kútvölgy (“Valley of the Wells”) in the center of Tök.

The area constituting a significant natural asset took its name from the abundant sources of water, and the Tök stream flows into the Békás patak (Frog Stream) here. Water from the springs assured the water needs of the settlement’s residents, and of the former dairy for almost 100 years, in fact this source also fed the communal water pipes of Tök and Zsámbék for decades. The remains of the former “drinking fountain”, where locals not only filled their watering cans, but where they used to wash, can also be seen today.
